Naga Jolokia
Until 2007, Naga Jolokia had the honour of being the hottest pepper in the world.
It would not seem harmless from this pepper; its dimensions are modest, from 5 to 8 centimetres in length and from 2 to 3 centimetres in diameter.
The skin is slightly wrinkled and the shape looks more like a miniature sweet pepper.
